Equipment Operator – Golf Course Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking an Equipment Operator to join our golf course maintenance team. Reporting to the Director of Agronomy or the Equipment Manager, you will operate a variety of machinery to keep the course and surrounding landscapes in top condition.

Key responsibilities

• Operate tractors, loaders, backhoes, mowers, utility vehicles, fly‑mos, sand‑trap rakes, aerifiers, sprayers, turf vacs and skip loaders.
• Mow greens, tees, fairways and rough using small power mowers, trimmers, backpack blowers and specialized equipment.
• Rake and manicure desert landscapes, sand traps, and transition areas; perform hand mowing and trimming.
• Assist with renovations, construction, sod laying, over‑seeding, and new green/tee development.
• Excavate, back‑fill ditches, clean drains, culverts and cart paths, and perform general manual labor.
• Load and unload materials, haul equipment, and conduct basic janitorial duties.
• Maintain and water trees and plants, and perform other ground‑work as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience on a golf‑course maintenance team or similar construction environment.
• Knowledge of large‑ and small‑engine operation and repair.
• Familiarity with hydraulic‑powered machine operation and repair.
