Epic Principal Trainer 2 – Grand Central

About the role

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) IT Department is seeking an experienced Epic Principal Trainer 2 to lead training for the Grand Central clinical environment. You will design, build, and deliver comprehensive training solutions that support patient‑centered care across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in pre‑production simulations, workflow integration, testing, and validation of system functionality.
• Provide end‑user training on Epic clinical applications and related tools.
• Develop project plans, lesson plans, curricula, manuals, classroom exercises, competency assessments, and e‑learning modules.
• Collaborate with analysts on application changes and new features to shape training strategies.
• Support application testing, go‑live activities, and on‑call scheduling as needed.
• Analyze, design, build, test, and troubleshoot issues in the training environment (MST).
• Ensure training aligns with UHealth policies, procedures, and patient‑safety goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience delivering technical training, preferably with Epic systems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to build effective interpersonal relationships and solve complex problems.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
