Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor

About the role

3M is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor for its Monroe, NC site. This position will guide the site’s EHS strategy, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide EHS leadership and direction in partnership with EHS staff and site leadership.
• Set short‑ and long‑term EHS priorities, allocate resources, and drive strategic initiatives.
• Maintain full responsibility for functional EHS results and performance metrics.
• Ensure operational safety through clear health and safety requirements, visible leadership, and coaching of site leaders.
• Guarantee compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and internal expectations.
• Promote EHS cultural excellence by encouraging personal responsibility and addressing incidents, near‑misses, and hazards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (verified before start).
• Minimum eight years of experience managing EHS programs in private, public, government, or military settings.
• At least five years of industrial hygiene and ergonomics experience.
• Preferably seven or more years in an EHS role with a focus on industrial hygiene or ergonomics within a manufacturing environment.
