Environmental Health and Safety Consultant

About the role

Colden is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Consultant to lead projects and provide occupational health and safety consulting to a diverse client base. The role offers a flexible hybrid schedule and is based in Manchester, NH.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from proposal through completion, including budgeting, deliverables, and milestones.
• Develop health and safety programs, training materials, and deliver in‑person training.
• Conduct industrial hygiene surveys, air and surface sampling, noise monitoring, and indoor air quality investigations.
• Perform health and safety assessments, inspections, and audits across various industrial and non‑industrial settings.
• Prepare detailed reports with corrective action recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, occupational safety, environmental health, or related science/engineering field.
• CIH or CSP certification (or eligibility within one year) and 10+ years of consulting experience.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects with minimal oversight and mentor junior staff.
• Willingness to travel locally and nationally as project needs dictate.

Required skills

• Industrial hygiene monitoring methods (air sampling, surface sampling, noise dosimetry).
• Knowledge of OSHA, ACGIH, ANSI, NFPA standards and EHS regulations.
• Technical writing and report preparation.
• Project management and client relationship management.
