Environmental Compliance Lead

About the role

IPX Power is seeking an Environmental Compliance Lead to oversee permit implementation, compliance, and restoration activities for its solar and battery storage projects across the United States. The role reports to the Head of Environmental and Permitting and works closely with internal teams and external EPC and O&M partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategy and execution of permit compliance for operational assets, including tracking solutions.
• Manage permit and compliance requirements for all under‑construction projects in coordination with the development permitting lead.
• Oversee environmental permit compliance for operational assets and drive necessary modifications.
• Provide annual environmental training for onsite operations teams.
• Direct external consultants in biological, noise, and other resource surveys and ensure preparation of diligence documents.
• Handle project management, consultant management, contract negotiations, and discretionary permit processing.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading environmental permitting and compliance for renewable energy projects.
• Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working with EPCs, O&M providers, and cross‑functional teams such as Development, Construction, Finance, and Legal.
• Ability to develop and deliver environmental training programs.
