About the role
This contract position supports a large state government IT department in Atlanta. As an entry‑level .NET developer you will work under direct supervision to translate business requirements into secure, maintainable code and assist with the configuration of a tax administration COTS application (GenTax). The role is hybrid, combining onsite collaboration with remote work.
Key responsibilities
- Design, code, test, modify, and debug software components using .NET technologies.
- Research and analyze system problems and produce clear documentation.
- Convert business requirements into development tasks while ensuring security and maintainability.
- Support configuration and ongoing maintenance of the GenTax COTS tax application.
Required profile
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with any .NET programming language.
- Minimum 1 year of working knowledge of SQL.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities and experience in small team environments.
