Entry-Level Litigation File Clerk

About the role

We are seeking an entry‑level Litigation File Clerk to join our Houston office. The successful candidate will provide essential clerical support to attorneys and legal assistants, helping to keep litigation files organized and moving forward.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and process documents using our document‑storage software.
• E‑file litigation documents with various courts.
• Prepare outgoing letters and correspondence.
• Communicate daily via email with legal assistants and attorneys.
• Update and manage databases, including the e‑cabinet system and the firm’s custom case‑management platform.
• Meet daily deadlines throughout the litigation process.
• Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong grammar, spelling and basic math abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Attention to detail, punctuality and dependability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers, scanners and fax machines.
