Entry-Level Lease Operator

About the role

This entry‑level position supports the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas lease sites across the Appalachian Basin. Working under the guidance of a supervisor or Lease Operator Lead, you will monitor production equipment, perform routine inspections, and report operational data.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled routine checks on all well sites.
• Monitor and perform light maintenance on compressors, pumpjacks, plunger lifts, dehydrators, meters, separators, and safety devices.
• Inspect lease sites for cleanliness, debris, and vegetation control.
• Gauge and record daily oil and water tank levels; manage fluid production data.
• Gather daily, monthly, and quarterly production data and submit required reports and tickets on time.
• Identify production issues, collaborate with foremen and other personnel to troubleshoot and resolve.
• Communicate daily plans and issues with the production foreman; attend well reviews and safety meetings.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation that includes nights and weekends, responding to emergencies, spills, leaks, and trip hazards.
• Maintain the company‑provided vehicle and respond to after‑hours emergencies as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of and commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Calm demeanor during emergencies and ability to follow proper response protocols.
• Willingness and ability to wear required personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, respirator, ear protection, etc.).
