Entry-Level Equipment Technician

About the role

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an entry‑level Equipment Technician to join its Streetman, Texas plant. The role involves maintaining and repairing production equipment, ensuring reliable operation of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair 3‑phase electrical systems up to 600 V, including high‑voltage controls and relays.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns, dismantle defective machines, and replace worn parts.
• Lubricate, clean and align shafts, bearings, gears and other rotating components.
• Install, program, and service automated machinery, pipe systems, and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
• Operate cutting torches, welding equipment and machine tools to fabricate or repair parts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all safety procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for 3‑phase equipment up to 600 V.
• Good attendance and ability to work at heights up to 60 ft.
• Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, climb ladders and catwalks.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude.
