Entry-Level Architectural Assessor (Federal Projects)

About the role

Pond is looking for an entry‑level Architectural Assessor to support condition assessments of Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities across the United States. This 15‑month 1099 contract is ideal for recent architecture graduates who want hands‑on experience in facility evaluation, data collection, and asset‑management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site architectural condition assessments using the 2025 BUILDER SMS Assessment Guide.
• Collect, document, and analyze building component data during field visits.
• Assist in preparing detailed assessment reports, data summaries, and supporting documentation for federal clients.
• Review planning documents, engineering reports, and construction drawings to inform assessments.
• Support baseline analysis of assets with Asset Management technologies under senior guidance.
• Collaborate with senior assessors and multidisciplinary teams to meet project schedules.
• Present findings clearly in written reports and verbal briefings.
• Maintain professional client relationships during site visits and project activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Architecture.
• Recent graduate eager to launch a career in facility assessments.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, detail‑oriented, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time and obtain a Federal Security Clearance.
• Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor while collaborating with senior team members.
