Entry-Level Accountant (NetSuite)

About the role

We are seeking an entry‑level Accountant to join a growing non‑profit team in Atlanta on a contract‑to‑permanent basis. The role focuses on accounts payable and provides hands‑on exposure to core financial processes such as reconciliations and journal‑entry support within a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and maintain accurate accounts payable records.
• Assist with account reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and support issue resolution.
• Prepare and record accounting entries according to established procedures and reporting timelines.
• Enter, review, and manage accounting information in NetSuite for payables and routine transactions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice or payment questions and keep workflows efficient.
• Support month‑end activities by organizing records, reconciling balances, and assisting with documentation.
• Provide general ledger assistance through analysis and review, without primary GL ownership.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of accounting experience, or strong internship experience with relevant hands‑on exposure.
• Practical experience in accounts payable and a clear understanding of invoice processing fundamentals.
• Familiarity with account reconciliations, accounting entries, and standard financial documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management skills, and ability to work accurately under deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
