Enrollment Contact Representative

About the role

The Enrollment Contact Representative serves as the front‑line phone contact for parents and students, supporting recruitment, enrollment and retention of prospective and current Northeastern students. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, problem‑solving ability and a customer‑service mindset in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inbound and outbound support, triaging inquiries and directing callers to the appropriate university department such as Admissions, Financial Services or Global Services.
• Assist students with admissions navigation, immigration e‑forms, financial aid questions, deadline reminders and access to university resources.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions across multiple data systems and report call trends to management.
• Participate in outreach campaigns for prospective and current students and act as a liaison to ensure concerns are addressed.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with prior customer‑service or contact‑center experience.
• Ability to understand and convey financial and university policies, and troubleshoot database/system issues independently.
• Sensitivity to diverse student populations and flexibility to work early‑evening hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with multiple databases and system software.
• Technological literacy for navigating university platforms and documenting interactions.
