About the Position

Join Midlands Technical College as an English Professor and play a pivotal role in shaping the academic success of our students. You will deliver high-quality instruction across various disciplines, fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking and professional excellence.

Main Missions

• Deliver high-quality instruction in courses such as composition, literature, and technical/professional communication.
• Manage a standard teaching load of approximately five sections per semester (Fall/Spring), with opportunities for additional courses.
• Develop and enhance curricula to align with institutional goals and industry standards.
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital tools to facilitate engaging learning in onsite, hybrid, or online formats.
• Evaluate student performance, maintain accurate academic records, and use data-driven insights to improve pedagogical practices.
• Provide academic support, mentorship, and guidance through regular office hours.
• Contribute to college governance by participating in departmental and institutional committees and student engagement activities.

• Proven experience in teaching English at the higher education level.
