About the role
Fort Peck Community College seeks a full‑time English and Humanities Instructor to join its faculty. The successful candidate will teach freshman and sophomore courses, contribute to curriculum development, and support a diverse student body.
Key responsibilities
- Teach a full‑time load of 15‑18 credits per semester, covering English literature and humanities courses.
- Develop, review, and update syllabi, course materials, and assessments to ensure they are current, evidence‑based, and culturally responsive.
- Deliver instruction in multiple formats, including in‑person, hybrid, and online (synchronous and asynchronous).
- Evaluate student progress through exams, papers, projects, and provide timely feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and college community activities.
Required profile
- Deep knowledge of English literature and humanities disciplines.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current in the field.
- Ability to teach diverse student populations and foster critical thinking.
- Maintain required faculty credentials as stipulated by accrediting agencies.
Required skills
- Effective classroom instruction and student assessment.
- Curriculum design and syllabus development.
- Use of instructional technologies for hybrid and online delivery.
