Engineering Technician V

About the role

The Engineering Technician V will perform highly complex electro‑mechanical functions, supporting the development and production of cutting‑edge equipment that drives AI and next‑generation semiconductor technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test, checkout, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble electronics and electro‑mechanical systems, including experimental circuitry and prototype models.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level problems in electrical and mechanical subsystems without supervision.
• Develop and document logbooks, test procedures, and highly complex technical reports.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on Applied Materials platforms according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment, adhering to all safety standards and reporting hazards promptly.

Required profile

• Full understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work from limited or no documentation and provide technical solutions to system‑level and manufacturing issues.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, work in tight spaces, lift, and operate heavy machinery, including forklifts.
• Experience working in clean‑room environments and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
