Engineering Technician T3

About the role

Applied Materials is the global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that underpin modern semiconductor chips and advanced displays. The Engineering Technician T3 will work on the design, testing, assembly and troubleshooting of electro‑mechanical systems that enable next‑generation semiconductor manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test, checkout, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot and assemble electronics and electro‑mechanical systems and prototype models.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level problems in electrical and mechanical subsystems, including new system and NPI installations.
• Compile logbooks and test procedures, assist in revising department procedures, and generate quality notifications.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum and process testing on AMAT platforms according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Observe all safety standards, maintain a clean work environment, and report hazards or incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, lifting, working in tight spaces, and clean‑room environments with appropriate PPE.
• Commitment to safety practices, ability to follow operating instructions and use protective equipment.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical systems assembly and troubleshooting.
• Circuit design and prototype development.
• Operation of specialized test equipment and fixtures.
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and vacuum testing.
• Forklift operation and use of hand/power tools.
