Engineering Technician III (T3)

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that power semiconductor chips and advanced displays. The Engineering Technician III supports the design, testing, and assembly of electro‑mechanical systems that enable AI and next‑generation semiconductor manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine to moderately complex electro‑mechanical tasks such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level problems in electrical and mechanical subsystems.
• Execute new system and NPI installations and field upgrades.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams, and written descriptions to conduct testing and troubleshooting.
• Compile logbooks and test procedures documentation with strong writing skills.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on AMAT platforms according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Observe all safety standards, maintain a clean work environment, and report hazards promptly.
