Engineering Technician III – NPC (T3)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an NPC Engineering Technician III (T3) to support the design, testing, and assembly of electro‑mechanical systems used in semiconductor equipment. The position is based in Austin, TX and offers a collaborative environment where you can develop technical expertise while contributing to cutting‑edge AI‑driven chip manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, modify, and assemble electronic and electro‑mechanical prototypes and test fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level issues in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum subsystems.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams, and written specifications to perform moderate testing and troubleshooting.
• Document test procedures, compile logbooks, and assist in updating department processes.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum testing on AMAT platforms according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Observe all safety standards, maintain a clean work environment, and report hazards promptly.
