Engineering Technician – Battery Cell Production

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to join the Battery Cell Department’s Production Engineering team. The role focuses on leading planning and problem‑solving activities during pre‑production trials, applying Ryohin Joken principles to improve safety, efficiency and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of pre‑production trial activities.
• Identify, analyze and resolve material, product and process issues.
• Develop and implement trial plans, technical reports and documentation for organizational learning.
• Contribute to equipment and process specifications, procurement, installation and trial coordination.
• Apply and advance Ryohin Joken methodology for root‑cause analysis, Kaizen and recurrence prevention.
• Maintain individual activity status, visual reporting and continuous reflection.
• Support cross‑functional teams and external partners to align with department objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience in manufacturing production preparation, including schedule and deliverable management.
• 1+ years experience with battery cell products, processes, equipment or trial activities.
• Demonstrated experience applying Ryohin Joken concepts.
• Strong ability to coordinate with multiple functions in a large organization.
