Engineering Technician - 2nd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking an Engineering Technician for the 2nd shift at its Salt Lake City, UT facility. You will support missile control actuation systems, ensuring product integrity, quality, and production efficiency while working a 9/80 schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and perform engineering tests and inspections of hardware.
• Diagnose performance failures of high‑precision electrohydraulic servo components and specify rework.
• Prepare, analyze, and evaluate data trends.
• Author production assembly and test documentation such as routers, travel cards, and work instructions.
• Assist technicians with assembly, test methods, equipment use, and anomaly resolution.
• Monitor producibility of assigned products and drive continuous improvements.
• Serve as technical liaison for Project/Product Engineers and project meetings.
• Disposition suspect material and test failures with engineering rationale.
• Provide support to assembly/test operations in coordination with lead engineers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 + years experience in a similar engineering technician role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, system schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong written communication for work instructions and engineering documents.
