Engineering Project Manager

About the role

The Engineering Project Manager provides both engineering expertise and project‑management leadership to support manufacturing operations. You will oversee small to medium‑size engineering projects from concept through start‑up, ensuring they meet food‑industry GMP standards and deliver on schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, design layouts, develop budgets, and create schedules for manufacturing line improvements.
• Manage purchasing, cost estimating, and control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate system integration, documentation, reporting, start‑up activities, and training for new equipment.
• Apply Good Manufacturing Practices for sanitary food‑production environments.
• Select and oversee external engineering partners to meet capacity and product requirements.
• Support plant maintenance by planning efficient equipment layouts and ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Lead cost‑reduction and efficiency initiatives, facilitating workshops and improvement projects.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, operations, and maintenance teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Facilities, or Maintenance Engineering.
• Experience in contract manufacturing and the food or short‑shelf‑life sector preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lean principles and ability to work in a high‑growth, dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with cross‑functional partners.
