Engineering Manager, UX

About the role

Replit is looking for an Engineering Manager, UX to lead a team that bridges design and engineering, building intuitive, high‑performance user interfaces for AI‑driven software creation. You will shape the technical vision for UI frameworks and help make Replit’s product experiences fast and accessible across devices.

Key responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and grow a team of frontend engineers, reinforcing a culture of UI excellence.
• Define technical vision and strategy for extending user‑interface frameworks to ship high‑quality experiences quickly.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to prioritize requirements and translate designs into feasible implementations.
• Set an ambitious vision for AI user interfaces and guide the team in sequencing work to achieve it.
• Help refine designs by balancing technical constraints, timelines, and resources.

Required profile

• 4+ years of engineering management experience with a track record of building and scaling high‑performing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver ambitious, cross‑functional projects.
• Excellent communication skills for technical leadership and people management.
• Strong obsession with user experience and adaptability to changing requirements.

Required skills

• Deep technical experience with React.
• Proficiency in CSS and CSS frameworks.
• Experience building mobile‑web interfaces.
• Familiarity with Figma for design collaboration.
