Engineering Manager, Integration & Test

About the role

Radiant is developing portable nuclear microreactors and seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the electrical engineering team responsible for integration and test of its Kaleidos reactor. You will guide the team from architecture through hardware bring‑up, testing, and commissioning, ensuring the system meets performance and safety targets for the 2028 deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, mentor, and manage a team of electrical engineers.
• Define and own electrical and software integration requirements, including power distribution, sensor mapping, and actuator interfaces.
• Plan and control schedule, budget, and vendor relationships for hardware integration.
• Develop and execute validation strategies, test procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate closely with embedded, controls, software, and mechanical engineering groups.
• Oversee the build‑out of test infrastructure and maintain the test environment.
• Lead design reviews and communicate technical decisions to stakeholders and leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience with hands‑on hardware design, integration, and test.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience, including hiring and team development.
• Proven ability to deliver complex hardware programs on tight timelines.

Required skills

• Experience with data acquisition and test systems such as NI PXI, dSpace, or Speedgoat.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Scripting/programming skills in Python, C++, or C#.
