Engineering Manager – Decision Management Platform (Fraud Detection)

About the role

Mastercard is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a service group within its Decision Management Platform, focused on fraud detection. The role combines strategic vision with hands‑on leadership to deliver low‑latency, high‑volume, highly available software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable software on time and within budget.
• Champion best practices such as DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and agile methodologies.
• Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks across programs.
• Mentor, coach, and retain high‑performing engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
• Own the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle, from requirements through release and support.
• Ensure operational readiness, including incident response, monitoring, and service reliability.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and business stakeholders to define scope, priorities, and roadmaps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading software engineering teams delivering low‑latency, high‑volume, high‑availability systems.
• Strong background in fraud detection or related financial‑technology domains.
• Demonstrated ability to align engineering initiatives with business goals.
