Engineering Manager, Compliance Core

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead the Compliance Core platform that powers real‑time blockchain risk evaluation. You will shape the next generation of the system, balancing modernization with reliability for millions of daily transfers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the platform’s modernization, set technical direction and manage incremental migrations with safe roll‑outs.
• Stay hands‑on by reviewing code, writing design documents, contributing prototypes and resolving production incidents.
• Build and develop the team through hiring, setting expectations, providing feedback and supporting career growth.
• Own delivery with product and upstream teams, translating customer needs into a clear roadmap and managing priorities.
• Make production operations sustainable by defining reliability, latency and throughput standards, improving observability and on‑call practices.

Required profile

• Experience building and operating high‑throughput, event‑driven distributed systems.
• Strong hands‑on engineering judgment and ability to make sound architectural decisions.
• Proven experience managing engineers, coaching, performance management and fostering team effectiveness.
• Track record of delivering complex technical initiatives across teams and balancing short‑term needs with long‑term platform investment.
• Collaborative leadership style that encourages challenge, ownership and mentorship.
• Interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies or eagerness to learn.

Required skills

• High‑throughput event‑driven distributed systems.
• Familiarity with JVM‑based services in production.
• Knowledge of blockchain protocols.
