Engineering Manager – AI Agents

About the role

Sierra is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the creation of production‑grade AI agents that power mission‑critical experiences for large enterprises and innovative startups. You will be hands‑on for the first months, then grow and mentor a team while ensuring reliability, performance, and customer impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of production‑grade AI agents, building scalable, reliable systems across finance, healthcare, and commerce.
• Own the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC), guiding pilots through deployment and continuous iteration.
• Partner with large enterprises and cutting‑edge startups to translate business challenges into AI‑driven solutions.
• Shape the future of Sierra’s platform by surfacing unmet needs and collaborating with research, product, and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and scaling end‑to‑end production systems and leading engineering teams.
• Strong technical problem‑solving skills in fast‑changing, ambiguous environments.
• Hands‑on leadership style that balances high standards with empathy.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with customers and turn business needs into technical deliverables.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
