Engineering Lead, Consumer Platform

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Lead to own Chariot's consumer platform – the product that turns a one‑time claimant into an engaged member who discovers and joins valuable cases. This is a greenfield community, content, and growth‑loop product where you will build the team and shape the experience from prototype to production.

Key responsibilities

• Expand the range of case types users can discover and join.
• Build community surfaces for discussion, rallying, and referral loops.
• Create an education layer that teaches users how claims work and how to participate responsibly.
• Own trust and safety, including moderation and fraud deterrence.
• Contribute to shared platform foundations such as internal tooling, MCPs, and agent harnesses.
• Recruit, vet, and grow the engineering team from day one.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping production software at staff‑level scope.
• Track record of owning product outcomes end‑to‑end, not just code.
• Strong product instincts, bias toward action, and ability to make autonomous decisions.
• Early‑stage (Series A or earlier) startup experience and readiness to lead a team.
