Engineer II

About the role

We are seeking an Engineer II to apply basic engineering principles, perform calculations, analysis, and develop reports while gaining exposure to our engineering staff, methods, and programs.

Key responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering practices, adjust and correlate data, and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, component selections, and technical reports.
• Utilize Southco manufacturing processes, materials, finishes, documentation systems, CAD and business systems.
• Participate in team activities and contribute to project planning and scheduling.
• Deliver project assignments on schedule and within budget.
• Complete required training to ensure accurate and efficient job performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (advanced degree a plus).
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or design environment.
• Proven track record of successful project completion.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD systems.
• Experience using documentation and business systems.
• Strong data analysis and calculation abilities.
