Engineer I – Remote (Entry-Level)

About the role

JIRACOR is looking for an entry‑level Engineer I to support Navy engineering and sustainment programs. This remote position offers early‑career engineers the chance to work on technical projects, documentation, and mission‑critical initiatives within a government‑contracting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review technical data packages for compliance with engineering standards and program requirements.
• Evaluate engineering and technical referrals following established processes.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QC/QA) systems.
• Review, validate, and develop technical data, manuals, and provisioning packages.
• Analyze performance data and support the development of Readiness Based Sparing (RBS) models.
• Perform various engineering and technical support tasks and collaborate with senior engineers and program teams.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Active Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 0–3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment under direct supervision.

Required skills

• Technical documentation proficiency.
• Knowledge of Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies.
• Experience with Readiness Based Sparing (RBS) modeling.
• Understanding of engineering standards and compliance processes.
