About the role
The State of Hawaii is recruiting Engineers I, II and III for the Wikiwiki project in Maui. Positions range from entry‑level to senior‑level, offering a structured career path within the state civil service.
Key responsibilities
- Engineer I: Perform routine professional engineering work using basic principles and established practices.
- Engineer II: Execute specific professional assignments, applying standard methods and supporting broader project phases.
- Engineer III: Conduct moderately difficult engineering tasks in planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation, or evaluation of projects, and assist senior engineers on complex assignments.
Required profile
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (citizen, national, permanent resident, or eligible under federal law).
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university (or equivalent substitution).
- Graduates within three months of the application deadline may be considered if they will meet the minimum qualifications upon graduation.
