Energy & Utilities Technology Advisory Manager

About the role

The Energy & Utilities Technology Advisory Manager leads OT and infrastructure workstreams across the private equity investment lifecycle for assets in the energy and utilities sector. This role combines deep operational technology expertise with M&A advisory experience to drive diligence, integration and value‑creation for utilities, power generation, renewables and related assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead buy‑side and sell‑side technology diligence for OT environments (SCADA, DCS, PLCs, networks) identifying technical debt, regulatory risks and efficiency opportunities.
• Develop and execute Day 1 readiness plans, including network cutovers, TSA exits and control‑system continuity to protect business continuity.
• Partner with portfolio company leadership to design and implement post‑close modernization and AI‑driven efficiency programs.
• Produce high‑fidelity architectural diagrams of hybrid IT/OT environments, cloud footprints and integration patterns.
• Translate technical findings into financial narratives for investment committees and stakeholders.
• Support ongoing value‑creation initiatives throughout the hold period, monitoring performance and recommending upgrades.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or OT engineer with extensive exposure to utility control systems.
• Demonstrated track record in technology advisory for private equity or M&A transactions.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in the energy sector.
• Ability to work collaboratively with C‑suite executives, IT and operations teams.
