About the role

This position provides comprehensive drug‑therapy counseling to patients, helping them understand medication usage, lifestyle changes, and preventive care. It is open exclusively to Cigna Group retirees and may be performed remotely with a reliable broadband connection.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalized medication counseling and support preventive health initiatives.
• Assist members in maximizing plan benefits and selecting appropriate prescriptions.
• Answer technical queries from patient‑care advocates and support representatives.
• Transfer prescriptions between retail pharmacies and ensure accurate processing of verbal orders.
• Stay current on pharmacy laws, drug updates, and best practices.
• Maintain audit, compliance, and legislative standards.
• Back‑up other pharmacists, train less‑experienced staff, and handle special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Active pharmacist license in the state of practice, in good standing.
• PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited program.
• Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, preferably in a specific disease state.
• Commitment to ongoing self‑study and completion of Express Scripts specialist training.
• Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high‑volume environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts based on business needs; Spanish fluency is a plus.
