EMS Professional Lab Assistant

About the role

The EMS Professional Lab Assistant supports faculty in the North Georgia Technical College laboratory environment, ensuring smooth operation of classes and hands‑on training for emergency services students.

Key responsibilities

• Assist full‑time faculty with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, safety procedures, and attendance tracking.
• Tutor or mentor students during lab sessions.
• Conduct basic lab research and maintain clean, safe laboratory spaces.
• Prepare, maintain, and operate laboratory equipment and manage inventory.
• Obtain required class materials, including texts and supplies.

Required profile

• AEMT certification (currently working in the field or retired).
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in emergency services.
• Preferred: Paramedic certification, EMS Instructor licensing, Fire Instructor licensing, or desire to obtain such licenses.
