EMS Adjunct Instructor – Part‑time

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Adjunct Instructor to teach at Chattahoochee Technical College’s North Metro (Acworth) and Appalachian (Jasper) campuses. The instructor will support the Program Director in delivering classroom and laboratory instruction for BLS and ALS courses, helping students develop critical psychomotor skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lecture and hands‑on lab sessions in accordance with program policies.
• Supervise and evaluate student performance of psychomotor skills using established criteria.
• Operate and maintain EMS skills laboratory equipment effectively.
• Provide clear explanations of critical knowledge points related to EMS procedures.
• Respond to student inquiries via email and voicemail in a timely manner.
• Complete required professional development, evaluations, and other college obligations.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Program Director or College Administration.

Required profile

• Licensed Georgia Paramedic (National Registry Certified).
• Minimum three years of field EMS experience.
• Associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution (preferred).
• Prior teaching experience in an accredited EMS program (preferred).
• GA EMS Instructor/Coordinator License (EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic) – preferred.

Required skills

• Georgia Paramedic licensure.
• National Registry certification.
• BLS and ALS instructional capability.
• Operation of EMS laboratory equipment.
• Evaluation of psychomotor skills.
