Employer Relations Consultant

About the role

The Employer Relations Consultant supports Saint Louis University’s Career Services by building and managing relationships with employers, coordinating recruitment events, and providing data-driven insights to enhance student career outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with existing employers to increase campus recruitment.
• Approve job postings and onboard new employers in the job search database.
• Research market opportunities and recruit additional employers.
• Coordinate specialized events and on‑campus recruiting activities.
• Compile and analyze recruitment statistics and trends.
• Deliver presentations to employers, student groups, and classes.
• Potentially teach one‑credit career development courses.
• Provide outreach to faculty, staff, and external partners about career trends.
• Participate in university and division‑wide events and monitor database activity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
• At least two years of related experience.
• Knowledge of employer recruitment and human resources practices.
• Understanding of student development and career development theory.
• Familiarity with marketing and advertising concepts.
• Strong interpersonal, counseling, and consultation abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including public speaking.
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute events.
