Embedded Security Engineer

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking an Embedded Security Engineer to strengthen the security architecture of its vehicle operating system platform. The role combines hands‑on engineering with security advocacy across multiple embedded platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and guide security for existing and new vehicle platform products.
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure boot processes for embedded devices.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate and manage Hardware Security Modules (HSM) ensuring robust encryption and key management.
• Work with software developers, QA, and product teams to embed security throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• MS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in product or cybersecurity engineering.
• Proven expertise in secure boot, HSM integration, and BSP maintenance for embedded devices.
• Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, protocols and algorithms.
• Experience with C, C++ and Python development.
• Familiarity with security standards such as FIPS 140‑2 and Common Criteria.
