Eligibility Associate – TSEP/CRT

About the role

The Eligibility Associate supports the Office of Family Independence by processing applications, providing customer service, and maintaining accurate records for various assistance programs. This position is based in Jonesboro, GA, and reports to an Eligibility Specialist Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general office duties such as keyboarding, filing, and managing correspondence.
• Assist clients, families, and partners who call or visit the office.
• Screen, register, and route applications for all OFI eligibility programs.
• Maintain confidential records and use electronic application and document imaging systems.
• Provide follow‑up and resolve customer issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Basic understanding of eligibility requirements for TANF programs.
