About the role
Mastery Schools is seeking an Elementary Intervention Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year to support K‑6 students with diverse learning needs. The teacher will work primarily in general‑education classrooms, delivering research‑based interventions and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes for students with IEPs.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence‑based reading, math, and writing interventions for students with autism, emotional, life‑skills, and multiple disabilities.
- Monitor student progress frequently and adjust instruction based on data.
- Collaborate with case managers, related service providers, and administrators to align interventions with each student’s IEP.
- Maintain high teacher‑to‑student ratios in special‑education settings while maximizing inclusion in general‑education classrooms.
- Utilize Mastery’s Response to Intervention framework and common‑foundation curricula.
Required profile
- Valid teaching certification and experience in elementary special education.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Ability to work with diverse learners, including those with autism and emotional support needs.
- Commitment to equity, anti‑racism, and inclusive practices.
