Electronics Technician

About the role

Moog is seeking an Electronics Technician to join its Military Aircraft Group in Mineral Wells, TX. The role involves building, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems for complex aerospace and defense product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and fasten electronic parts according to specifications.
• Phase out, repair, and evaluate units and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Operate production test equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Troubleshoot issues down to the discrete component level.
• Read and interpret schematics and assembly drawings.
• Program and debug PCBs, documenting failures and trends.
• Maintain product traceability and ensure quality through consistent processes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to capture and resolve issues.
• Follow FOD/5S practices to keep workstations clean and organized.

Required profile

• Technical Associate Degree or certification, or 5+ years of hands‑on experience as a technician.
• Strong communication skills and ability to train other technicians.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality and consistency.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
• Advanced soldering techniques.
• Proficiency with hand tools and small power tools.
• Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings.
• PCB programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience using DVMs, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
