Electronics Technician II

About the role

Parsons, the prime contractor for the FAA Technical Support Services Contract 5, is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician II to support the National Airspace System. The role involves installing, modifying, testing, and maintaining a variety of electronic systems at FAA sites across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Install, relocate, and remove navigation aids, communications, and surveillance equipment according to FAA drawings and standards.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair at unit, board, or module level using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
• Route, terminate, label, and test coaxial, fiber, and copper cables, and assist with system power‑up and functional testing.
• Document maintenance actions, parts used, and test results in compliance with FAA and contract requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience with analog and digital electronics, RF communications equipment, and standard test instruments.
• Ability to travel up to 100 % within the United States and meet FAA security requirements.

Required skills

• Analog and digital electronics fundamentals.
• RF and communications equipment knowledge.
• Proficiency with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
• Reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical orders.
• Basic Microsoft Office and internet usage.
