Electronics Technician II – 2nd Shift (Onsite)

About the role

Moog is seeking an Electronics Technician II to join its Military Aircraft Group on the 2nd shift at the East Aurora, NY facility. The role involves hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of electronic assemblies in a fast‑paced, FAA‑regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret assembly drawings, manufacturing outlines, worksheets, and parts lists to perform test and repair activities.
• Maintain process certification and traceability for all hardware and materials.
• Operate and interpret test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, data‑acquisition systems, and current/sensing probes.
• Set up performance tests, including fixtures, tooling, temperature chambers, and bench terminals.
• Collaborate with Engineering to diagnose test failures, perform rework, and document corrective actions.
• Assemble custom test set‑ups to support engineering analysis.
• Document non‑conformances, review build schedules, and meet established time standards.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED preferred; associate degree/certificate in electronics technology with 1 year experience, or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of related electrical testing experience.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English and perform basic arithmetic.
• Compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) safety‑sensitive work regulations and participation in the FAA Drug & Alcohol Program.

Required skills

• Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, and data‑acquisition systems.
• Experience using computer‑based test consoles and bench terminal setups.
• Strong Excel skills, including complex functions and spreadsheet management.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of basic electricity and electronics principles.
