Electronics Design Engineer – Power & Data (Blacksburg, VA)

About the role

Moog is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join its Space and Defense – Power & Data team in Blacksburg, Virginia. You will work on cutting‑edge hardware projects that support U.S. defense initiatives and NASA deep‑space exploration, collaborating with senior engineers, customers, and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new electronic technologies, products, and processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance targets.
• Create hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials for microprocessor‑based systems.
• Integrate and test electronic hardware, ensuring traceability to customer requirements.
• Support technical project planning, including design proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and interface meetings.
• Develop engineering test requirements and comprehensive test plans for units, subsystems, and systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics hardware design and development.
• Proven experience designing PCB boards that incorporate microprocessors and data communication.
