Electronics Design Engineer II

About the role

Moog is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer II to join its Power & Data division in Johnson City, TN. You will work on advanced electronic products for the MIL‑AERO market, contributing both as a hands‑on designer and as a technical resource for the engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Design electronics hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials.
• Conduct hardware‑level integration and testing.
• Support technical project planning, including designs, proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and interface meetings.
• Maintain traceability between customer and system requirements.
• Develop engineering test requirements and unit/subsystem/system test plans.
• Represent Moog in line with its technical reputation.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related technical degree.
• 5+ years of experience in electronics hardware design and development.
• Proven ability to design moderately complex hardware from requirements through qualification testing and initial production.

Required skills

• High‑speed digital, analog, and mixed‑signal electronics.
• Ethernet, FPGAs, CPLDs, MCUs, IoT architectures, power management, signal‑integrity solutions.
• Communication protocols: USB, CAN, RS‑422/485, SPI, I²C, UART.
• EMI/EMC‑compliant design and MIL‑AERO qualification standards (MIL‑STD‑810, MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑STD‑1275, DO‑160).
• Hardware characterization and debug, including S‑parameters and impedance measurements.
