Electronics Assembler II – 2nd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking an Electronics Assembler II for its 2nd‑shift team in Elma, New York. The role involves building high‑reliability aerospace assemblies while adhering to strict FAA safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble chassis, circuit cards, wire harnesses, and mechanical components using soldering, crimping, and fastening techniques.
• Perform inspections, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) checks, and ensure compliance with Electro‑Static Discharge (ESD) procedures.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, Bills of Material, and electronic work instructions.
• Operate a variety of tools including torque wrenches, crimpers, digital calipers, solder irons, heat guns, and microscopes.
• Maintain a clean work area and manage cleaning, potting, and painting processes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred) with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Minimum 3 years of electrical assembly and soldering experience.
• Eligibility to work under FAA Safety Sensitive Work regulations and participation in the company’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program.

Required skills

• High‑reliability soldering and crimping.
• Reading assembly drawings and Bills of Material.
• Electro‑Static Discharge (ESD) handling.
• Proficiency with hand tools: torque wrenches, crimpers, digital calipers.
• Use of solder irons, hot tweezers, heat guns, microscopes.
• Cleaning, potting, and paint application techniques.
