Electronic Calibration Technician

About the role

Moog is seeking an experienced Electronic Calibration Technician to join its Military Aircraft Group in East Aurora, NY. The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and reliability of both commercial test equipment and custom‑built Moog test consoles, supporting critical aerospace measurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Calibrate, maintain, and repair electronic test equipment to manufacturer specifications or internal standards.
• Perform calibrations following established procedures and create documentation when procedures are missing.
• Review daily schedules and service requests to keep calibration work on track.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues through fault isolation and logical analysis.
• Recommend process improvements for calibration, maintenance, and equipment reliability.
• Support initial calibration of first‑of‑its‑kind measurement and test equipment.
• Mentor junior technicians and share technical expertise.
• Collaborate with engineering to provide feedback and update calibration procedures.
• Ensure calibration records are complete, accurate, and compliant.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic calibration, assembly, repair, or maintenance.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of electronic test equipment such as Fluke calibrators, power supplies, encoders, temperature baths, and dead‑weight pressure calibrators.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with a proven track record of writing clear technical documentation.
• Self‑motivated learner capable of managing multiple tasks and adapting to shifting priorities.
