Electronic and Technology Support Technician

About the role

The Electronic and Technology Support Technician works under the direction of the Director of Building Services to install, repair, and maintain a wide range of electronic equipment used throughout the district. This position ensures that all devices operate safely and efficiently, complying with relevant codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, calibrate, regulate, fine‑tune, and test electronic machines and devices.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and calibrations.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 72 and other safety codes.
• Collaborate with building services staff to support district facilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; four years journey‑level experience in electronic repair.
• Completion of a state‑recognized electronics training program; AS degree in Electronic Technology preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• California Certified Fire/Life Safety Certification and/or NICET (must be obtained within 12 months of hire).
• First‑aid certification desirable.
