Electro Mechanical Technician

About the role

Multi‑skilled Electro‑Mechanical Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing factory equipment, ensuring safe, proactive operation and supporting operator technical skill development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on process, packaging, material handling and power distribution equipment (up to 480 V).
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including basic PLC I/O, motors, sensors, drives and control circuits.
• Use and update engineering drawings, create and manage work orders in SAP‑AMM CMMS, and document maintenance activities.
• Coach operators on adjustments, changeovers and new processes, and develop technical procedures and training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years relevant experience or a two‑year technical degree in maintenance, mechanical or electronics.
• Ability to work off‑shifts, weekends and extended shifts (10‑12 hours).
• Strong communication, critical‑thinking and safety mindset; ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Mechanical: hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drive systems, utility systems (air, steam, refrigeration).
• Electrical: interpretation of NEC, power distribution up to 480 V, basic PLC/hard‑wire logic, motor control and safety circuits.
• Instrumentation: analog and discrete devices, test equipment (amp meter, megger).
• CMMS: SAP‑AMM usage for work orders, time entry and maintenance planning.
• Additional: welding, fabrication, machining; certifications such as Arc Flash, LOTO, PTW as required.
