Electro Mechanic (Day Shift)

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Electro Mechanic to join its Engineering function on a day‑shift schedule. The role involves maintaining and improving electromechanical production equipment to support the company’s mission of enhancing sight worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems.
• Assist production personnel and team members with technical problems.
• Rebuild and restore used parts in the parts repair shop to “as‑built” condition, contributing to cost avoidance.
• Support improvements to maintenance systems (preventive, corrective, predictive, spare‑parts management).
• Participate in equipment retrofits, upgrades, and the creation or revision of SOPs and shop repair instructions.
• Optimize manufacturing equipment and processes for quality, yield, and cost reduction.
• Assist with completing validation protocols.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• At least 1 year of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
• Willingness to work 36‑48 hours per week on a rotating 12‑hour day‑shift schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, every other weekend).
• On‑site work in Georgia, USA.
• Sponsorship and relocation are not available.
