About the role
Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that power semiconductor chips and advanced displays. As an Electrical/Radio Frequency Engineer II, you will design, modify, and troubleshoot electrical assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings that enable cutting‑edge equipment for AI and next‑generation semiconductors.
Key responsibilities
- Design or modify electrical or electronic assemblies, layouts, schematics, drawings or specifications of moderate scope under general supervision.
- Perform basic engineering analysis and generate test reports and related documentation for product releases.
- Coordinate procurement and assembly of components, identify sources of critical parts, and resolve technical issues.
- Troubleshoot moderately complex electrical problems and implement solutions of moderate difficulty.
- Assist in developing electrical product specifications and clearly communicate technical information.
Required profile
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred GPA ≥ 3.0).
- Solid understanding of the industry’s key business drivers.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex information.
- Demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in hardware design engineering.
Required skills
- Proficiency with schematic design software such as OrCAD and Altium.
- Proficiency with layout design software such as Allegro and Altium.
