Electrical/Mechanical Technician – Wind Turbine O&M

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical/Mechanical Technician to perform safe and efficient preventive and corrective maintenance on Vestas V90 3MW wind turbines and Balance of Plant (BoP) assets. The role ensures high availability and reliability of the wind farm while adhering to OEM requirements, company policies, and site safety rules.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on Vestas V90 3MW turbines following O&M procedures.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and basic control systems.
• Repair or replace components such as sensors, actuators, hydraulic parts, yaw/pitch systems, brakes, cooling systems, and auxiliary power supplies.
• Conduct electrical, functional, and calibration tests, and document findings with check sheets and photo evidence.
• Support condition‑monitoring sampling (oil, wear debris, grease) with proper labeling.
• Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, including PTW, LOTO, working at height, confined space, and lifting operations.
• Ensure proper waste handling, vehicle cleanliness, and safe driving practices.

Required profile

• Ability to follow ACWA OPERATIONS safety procedures and OEM guidelines.
• Experience working on wind turbine mechanical and electrical systems.
• Willingness to perform hands‑on maintenance in offshore/onshore environments.

Required skills

• Preventive and corrective maintenance on Vestas V90 3MW turbines

• Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out (LOTO) procedures
• Working at height, confined space entry, and lifting operations
• Waste segregation and environmental spill response
• Vehicle operation and basic daily checks
